Internet Access & Wi-Fi
The library offers public computers with Internet access during regular business hours. Printing is available for $0.25 per page. Free Wi‑Fi is available throughout both library buildings and most parking areas.

The library offers a broad selection of materials for readers and learners of all ages, including:

• Large print books
• Westerns, mysteries, science fiction, and general fiction
• Nonfiction and Southwest/regional titles
• Children’s books
• Audiobooks and CDs
• Videos (VHS and DVD)
• Access to Talking Books for the Blind

Getting a Library Card
Library cards are free and available to anyone who can verify their identity and address. To apply, bring a photo ID and one of the following:

• Mail showing your current address
• A current City utility bill
• A valid New Mexico library card

New cardholders may check out up to three items upon approval. Patrons under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign their application and accept responsibility for borrowed materials.

Interlibrary Loan (ILL)
Looking for an item that isn't available at the Truth or Consequences Public Library? Through Interlibrary Loan, we can request books and other materials from participating libraries across the country. Most requests arrive within 1-2 weeks and are generally not eligible for renewal. To help us continue offering this service, patrons are responsible for return postage and any fees charged by the lending library. Loan periods and any special use restrictions are set by the lending library and must be followed. Fees for lost or damaged materials may also apply. If you have questions about Interlibrary Loan, Library staff are happy to help.

The Truth or Consequences Public Library meeting room is available for educational, cultural, informational, and community-focused meetings and programs. Priority is given to Library-sponsored events and activities that serve a broad public interest. Meeting room reservations are available during regular Library hours and are subject to availability. Community organizations, civic groups, and other non-commercial entities are encouraged to inquire about room use. To help keep the space welcoming for everyone:

• Room use must comply with all Library policies.
• Commercial sales, fundraising activities, and fee-based events require prior approval.
• Political campaign and religious worship services are not permitted.
• Smoking is prohibited in all Library facilities.
• Please leave the room clean and in the same condition you found it.
