Move or Transfer Utility Service
Residents and businesses can transfer existing City utility services—water, wastewater, solid waste, and electric—to a new address within Truth or Consequences. Moving your service ensures continuous billing and uninterrupted utilities at your new location.
Information You Need
- To move your utilities, provide the following to the Utility Office:
- Old service address
- New service address
- Shut‑off date for the current location
- Turn‑on date for the new location
- Photo ID
- Rental documentation (permission letter or notarized lease, if applicable)
Deposits & Fees
Deposits may transfer to your new address if your account is in good standing. Connection fees of $19.09 for electricity and $19.09 for water apply at the new location and will be added to your bill. There is no fee to disconnect service at your old address.
