Biography

Commissioner Ingo Hoeppner was elected to the Truth or Consequences City Commission and represents Position II. A longtime community advocate and small business owner, Hoeppner has been actively involved in local civic and community initiatives for several years.

Prior to serving on the City Commission, Hoeppner served four years on the City of Truth or Consequences Parks and Golf Advisory Committee, including two years as committee chairman. His background also includes service in the German Air Force and 12 years as a civil servant in Germany.

Hoeppner is the owner of Ingo's Art Café in downtown Truth or Consequences, a community-focused business established in 2018. Through his work, he has supported local arts, youth programs, and community-building initiatives. He also founded the nonprofit organization Acknowledge, Create and Teach, which focused on opportunities for local youth and community engagement.

Originally from southern Germany, Hoeppner chose to make Truth or Consequences his home after discovering the community through its hot springs and unique culture. He has expressed a commitment to public service, economic vitality, community involvement, and maintaining a high quality of life for residents.
