The Electric Department is committed to delivering reliable electrical service to residents and businesses in Truth or Consequences. Our team operates and maintains the Hot Springs substation, overhead power distribution network, and customer meters. We also manage street lighting, as well as special lighting for ball fields and tennis courts.

While we do not generate our own power, we procure energy from hydroelectric and commercial suppliers. Our reliability is tied to our providers’ performance.

Power Outages
Outages can result from accidents, equipment failure, or severe weather. If your power goes out:

Check with a neighbor to determine if the outage is widespread.
