Planning & Zoning Commission
The Planning and Zoning Commission serves as a dedicated volunteer advisory body committed to supporting the thoughtful growth and development of the City of Truth or Consequences. This board plays a vital role in shaping the City’s future by:
- Reviewing and evaluating city ordinances related to land use, zoning, and development.
- Recommending updates or rewrites to existing codes to ensure they remain relevant and effective.
- Identifying and addressing emerging issues that are not yet reflected in current municipal code.
- Considering the evolving needs of the physical community, including residential, commercial, and public spaces.
By offering informed guidance to city leadership, the Planning and Zoning Commission helps ensure that development aligns with the City’s vision, values, and long-term sustainability.
